Kogan Page wins two awards at the IPG Independent Publishing Awards 2019

Kogan Page were announced winners of the Academic & Professional Publisher of the Year Award and the International Achievement Award at the 13th Annual Independent Publishers Guild (IPG) Awards on Thursday 2nd May 2019.

The 13 awards were presented at a dinner gala as part of the IPG’s Annual Spring Conference. The IPG judges highlighted that “Kogan Page is doing so well in some difficult markets, and the confident move into the US shows their ambition… it’s done well through all the channels it works in.”

Speaking about the awards, Helen Kogan, Kogan Page’s Managing Director, said: “We are extremely honoured to have won two awards – it’s a great recognition from our peers in the publishing sector of the hard work everyone at Kogan Page does. Our fantastic team have embraced the opportunities presented by change to deliver content to academic and professional communities across different platforms internationally.”

Kogan Page recorded sharp growth in print, ebook and rights sales alike in 2018/19. It was a year of launches for the company, including the new Kogan Page Inspire consumer trade series, Kogan Page Audio and CPD-accredited online courses, as well as continuing to work hard on its backlist too.
